PEACEFUL POLITY
We shall only be involved in political programmes that promote peace nationally. Politics of do or die, dictatorial, use of thugs, violence and falsification of results and other unlawful, generally unacceptable means of seeking political office shall not be known with us. However, we shall via lawful means defend, protect and value the electorates, their vote and our mandate.

We believe that there is a need for restructuring of the entire nation and we shall participate in any legal activity that attempts to solve the constitutional flaws of the nation. National development and good governance are founded on peaceful coexistence, therefore, peaceful polity must not be decreed but must be built.

THE POLITY

A nation divided against herself cannot stand, progress and therefore cannot develop.

It is certain that we have not been progressing, though we see “abundance” in our cities and on the screens. Progress which is a factor in prosperity and development is built on peace.

There is nothing anyone can do in the absence of peace. It is the only fundamental foundation for unity which determines progress, a role or a road to prosperity and development.

A peaceful polity is the only panacea for all other plans of government to drive the nation progressively to a prosperous, developed state. Let us imagine unrest and militarisation of an area where business and construction are ongoing, we all know that all these good intentions will be forced to stop.

The 1999 Constitution and decrees have proved to have failed in uniting us; unity is based on fairness, equity and justice.

Therefore, the LIBERAL PARTY laid critical sacred importance on peaceful co-existence for peaceful polity and will not do anything that will heat the polity. We believe in unity, we give preference to fairness. We will not tamper with true justice and equity is our clothing.

Until this is achieved then we do not see us forcing our progressive ideology onto the nation. It is, therefore, the reason why we have been asking for support even when we were still laying the foundation for the mission. We have resolved to take national interest above regional, religious and personal interests. So to us, it is a big project, so help us, Lord.

To this end, we believe in restructuring and the creation of a new constitution that will be acceptable to the majority of the ethnic nationalities of the nation as also stated above.

In clear language, we are not in support of the Military Decree 24 of 1999 (non-constituent) Constitution currently in use in the nation’s political system.

RESPECT FOR THE RULE OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHT
As a democratic party, we believe in the rule of law, we shall promote the rule of law and see as much as possible that justice is dispensed speedily in the nation. In other words, the judiciary will be given its proper place in the polity and we will see to the implementation of “reports” that will enhance the judiciary profession.

This party shall not only believe in the human rights of everyone but will see to the enforcement of the operation of the right of every citizen to freedom and everything that affects the dignity of anyone to fair hearing; illegal arrest, torture, illegal detection and improper imprisonment, prison congestion and abuse of people by officials, elites and security operatives shall not be allowed to continue by this party. All human rights Charter shall be respected and implemented.

BELIEVES IN THE SEPARATION OF POWERS
The party believes in the separation of powers between the tiers of government including the respect of other laws of the land in every aspect. That is, the judiciary, legislative, executive, security powers, military and the federating units’ law and powers shall be respected and not infringed upon. We shall see ourselves as components and complementary to others, rather than superior, inferiors and appendages.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
The system of education in Nigeria needs urgent attention in order not to make the certificates awarded by Nigerian educational institutions, (higher and lower), worthless and in order to train our children not just what to benefit for being educated but what education should be able to deliver to them now and in future. Urgent attention is also required in the admissions procedure in our institutions of higher learning in order to prevent our children from being frustrated from acquiring higher educational skill.

Some programmes in our institutes of higher learning are just for the books that is they are not practicable. It is better to introduce practicable educational policies that will help to steer up the nation’s development. Education with practical know–how is preferable to certificated education. Know-how education is marketable everywhere, any day.

Statistics shows that about one third of the population of Nigeria are youth, The good thing about this is that we have a multitude of able hands that can be put to work for our national development on every sector of human endeavor.
The industrial and technological development as suggested in NIGERITER are part of the solutions designed to address this youth drift and get them engaged in meaningful acts. Likewise, the suggestions on the enlargement of admission opportunities for our youths into tertiary institutions is also one answer to curb our youth being turned into the instrument of banditry by politicians.
As vocational studies are being introduced in our secondary school to empower our youth for productive occupation, so should competitive sport be part of the school curriculum. There should be an annual sports festival for youths in each province of the nation which should lead to national competition.
Details are in the NIGERITER INITIATIVE.

THE ECONOMY
SIMPLY BASED ON TAXES AND ROYALTIES FROM THESE AVENUES

LIBERAL PARTY believes that the economy of the state is based on the state of the polity. Peace allows growth, progress and development is a function of peace. A peaceful united polity breeds a peaceful, progressive, prosperous people and a prosperous people is a prosperous nation.

Nigeria’s economy by the LIBERAL PARTY government will not be in isolation but among the committee of nations, our economic policy shall be both intra (within Nigeria) and inter with other countries.

We believed in a public-private sector-driven economy. As much as we believe in the private sector-led economic policy, events and history have shown that the public sector (government) must moderate events. Likewise, the government must determine, ignite, initiate and monitor their drives.

LIBERAL PARTY economy will be multi-provisional; we will take, consider, drive and support each economic avenue as the “ONLY” source of FOREX /provision to maximize the potential of this business. Borrowing is not a major principle of the LIBERAL PARTY government.

We believe that the economy is a product of our contribution to world trade and we have therefore looked critically at our potential and how to dramatically transform it as a source of income with the required indices of profitable business systems such as interest rate, power supply, labour cost, transportation cost vis-à-vis cost of production and above all the prosperity of our people.

The Economic Slogan Generates income, Generates employment.

Our income generation method shall be based on a multi-provincial avenue, each will be vigorously pursued as if it is the only avenue of our national income. The economic channels are as stated below.

Sport

Gone are the days when sport was considered just for bodily exercise, we can see it as a revenue generation platform for our people, organizations and the nation.

We can see the potential that we will develop, commercialise and make big business out of it.  African Americans dominate almost all the sports sector in the U.S., if the Africans here in Nigeria are developed and polished, certain aspects of the sports world will be controlled by Nigerians, in other words, the commercial viability. We shall soon see Nigerians that will earn over $200 million from sport in 4 years.

Entertainment

This is a sector of the economy that the LIBERAL PARTY government believes will earn billions in foreign exchange because of the huge potential that is there right now. We will massively help this big industry to remove all bottlenecks to success, at home and abroad. We recognised already that this industry has helped greatly in the employment of many Nigerians and will be accorded the right, privileges and presidential support shall be given to this industry to rapidly reform productively to earn huge foreign income. These will require laws and or enforcement of the same to help its growth. We will request the EFCC to set up a department to prosecute pirates of intellectual property.

Art and Craft

Nigeria is made up of over 250 ethnic nationalities that simply interpret over 250 cultures, some of which have existed for centuries. More so, our nation has gone through a lot of historical events (colonization, slave trade, transformations, political history, military exploit overseas etc) that are good sources of materials to be shown in our museum home and abroad.

Our government will build and enlarge the existing museum home and abroad for permanent displays of craft, artefacts for the revolving display of paintings and shows of galleries, Nigeria fashion/heritage shows and Nigerian film shows. It will attract all including Nigerians in Diaspora currently put at over 10 million.

International Employment

Our government will protect our citizens working outside this nation and the reform of our educational system, (details in education) technological empowerment, and skill acquisition programme will make our citizens “experts sought for” in the international labour market.

Others

Rapid development of our infrastructures with manpower development will attract foreigners to use our facilities, too numerous to list which cut across all sections of human endeavours. These will also bring income into our economy. More importantly, our government is people-oriented and will be open to the advice of experts and people in the best possible way to move our nation’s economy forward.

With this, we want to see our nation’s economy being the best or one of the best in the world. It is important to note that some of our economic policies will be to build virtual aspects/industries required for our economy to move forward and transfer equity. BPE
