PEACEFUL POLITY
We shall only be involved in political programmes that promote peace nationally. Politics of do or die, dictatorial, use of thugs, violence and falsification of results and other unlawful, generally unacceptable means of seeking political office shall not be known with us. However, we shall via lawful means defend, protect and value the electorates, their vote and our mandate.

We believe that there is a need for restructuring of the entire nation and we shall participate in any legal activity that attempts to solve the constitutional flaws of the nation. National development and good governance are founded on peaceful coexistence, therefore, peaceful polity must not be decreed but must be built.

THE POLITY

A nation divided against herself cannot stand, progress and therefore cannot develop.

It is certain that we have not been progressing, though we see “abundance” in our cities and on the screens. Progress which is a factor in prosperity and development is built on peace.

There is nothing anyone can do in the absence of peace. It is the only fundamental foundation for unity which determines progress, a role or a road to prosperity and development.

A peaceful polity is the only panacea for all other plans of government to drive the nation progressively to a prosperous, developed state. Let us imagine unrest and militarisation of an area where business and construction are ongoing, we all know that all these good intentions will be forced to stop.

The 1999 Constitution and decrees have proved to have failed in uniting us; unity is based on fairness, equity and justice.

Therefore, the LIBERAL PARTY laid critical sacred importance on peaceful co-existence for peaceful polity and will not do anything that will heat the polity. We believe in unity, we give preference to fairness. We will not tamper with true justice and equity is our clothing.

Until this is achieved then we do not see us forcing our progressive ideology onto the nation. It is, therefore, the reason why we have been asking for support even when we were still laying the foundation for the mission. We have resolved to take national interest above regional, religious and personal interests. So to us, it is a big project, so help us, Lord.

To this end, we believe in restructuring and the creation of a new constitution that will be acceptable to the majority of the ethnic nationalities of the nation as also stated above.

In clear language, we are not in support of the Military Decree 24 of 1999 (non-constituent) Constitution currently in use in the nation’s political system.

RESPECT FOR THE RULE OF LAW AND HUMAN RIGHT
As a democratic party, we believe in the rule of law, we shall promote the rule of law and see as much as possible that justice is dispensed speedily in the nation. In other words, the judiciary will be given its proper place in the polity and we will see to the implementation of “reports” that will enhance the judiciary profession.

This party shall not only believe in the human rights of everyone but will see to the enforcement of the operation of the right of every citizen to freedom and everything that affects the dignity of anyone to fair hearing; illegal arrest, torture, illegal detection and improper imprisonment, prison congestion and abuse of people by officials, elites and security operatives shall not be allowed to continue by this party. All human rights Charter shall be respected and implemented.

BELIEVES IN THE SEPARATION OF POWERS
The Liberal Party firmly believes in the constitutional separation of powers and the autonomy of every tier of government. We are committed to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that the responsibilities and constitutional authority of the Executive, Legislature, Judiciary, Security Agencies, Armed Forces, and the federating units are respected and protected.

No institution of government should dominate or undermine another. Each arm exists to complement the others in the pursuit of justice, accountability, peace, order, and good governance. By respecting constitutional boundaries and promoting cooperation among all institutions, Nigeria can build a stable democracy founded on fairness, transparency, and mutual respect.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Education is the foundation of national progress and the most valuable investment any nation can make in its future. The Liberal Party believes that Nigeria’s education system requires urgent and comprehensive reforms to restore its quality, relevance, and global competitiveness.

Our educational institutions must produce graduates equipped not only with certificates but also with practical knowledge, critical thinking, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the skills required to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Education should prepare citizens to create opportunities, solve problems, and contribute meaningfully to national development.

The quality and integrity of certificates awarded by Nigerian institutions must be protected so that they continue to command respect both nationally and internationally. Admission into tertiary institutions should also be expanded and made more transparent and merit-based, ensuring that qualified young Nigerians are not denied access to higher education because of inadequate capacity or administrative shortcomings.

Many programmes currently offered in our higher institutions remain overly theoretical and disconnected from the realities of the labour market. The Party will promote curriculum reforms that emphasize practical learning, vocational training, digital skills, technical education, research, innovation, and industry partnerships. Practical knowledge is not only more valuable to individuals but also strengthens the nation’s productivity and competitiveness.

Nigeria’s greatest asset is its youthful population. With nearly one-third of the country’s population consisting of young people, we possess an enormous reservoir of talent, energy, creativity, and innovation. When properly educated, trained, and empowered, our youth can become the driving force behind

education and technical training will also reduce youth unemployment and lessen their vulnerability to crime, violence, political manipulation, and banditry.

Vocational education should become an integral part of secondary school education, equipping students with practical skills for self-employment and lifelong careers. In addition, sports should be recognised as a vital component of youth development. Competitive sports promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, and national unity.

Accordingly, the Party shall establish annual youth sports festivals in every province, culminating in national competitions to discover and nurture sporting talent while fostering friendship and patriotism among young Nigerians.

THE ECONOMY:

A MULTI-PROVINCIAL APPROACH TO PROSPERITY

The LIBERAL PARTY** believes that a nation’s economy is a reflection of its political stability. Peace is the foundation of growth, progress, and sustainable development. A united, peaceful polity fosters prosperous citizens, which in turn builds a prosperous nation.

Our economic strategy will integrate Nigeria into the global community through robust internal (intra-national) and external (international) economic policies, driving growth through the following core pillars:

1. A Balanced Public-Private Partnership

We advocate for a private sector-led economy moderated by active public sector oversight. While the private sector drives innovation and efficiency, the government must strategically initiate, guide, and monitor economic activities to ensure fair play, stability, and public welfare.

2. Multi-Provincial Economic Focus

Rather than relying on a single resource, the Liberal Party will treat each economic avenue as our sole source of foreign exchange and national income. By managing every sector with this level of priority, we will maximize the potential of all Nigeria’s resources. Under this model, debt accumulation and borrowing will not be a primary economic tool.

3. Global Trade and Cost Competitiveness

We recognize that economic strength depends on our contribution to global trade. To make Nigerian goods competitive, we will aggressively address critical production indices:

 * Lowering interest rates to spur investment

 * Stabilizing and expanding the power supply

 * Optimizing labor and transportation costs to reduce the overall cost of production

 * Ensuring that economic growth directly translates to the prosperity of our citizens
